Kiwi-born Jan Preston passed exam after exam on the way to a career as a concert pianist, but fate saw her sneaking in the back door of pop with groups like Coup D'Etat, achieving a number one hit with Doctor, I Like Your Medicine, moving to Sydney, becoming a mother, then composer , and the Jan we know today.
This intimate engrossing combination of skilfully performed piano music, images, songs and stories, is masterfully directed by award-winning New Zealand film director Gaylene Preston (Perfect Strangers, Ruby & Rata, Mr Wrong) who also happens to be Jan’s sister.
