Info for French Touch
The bass player Stéphane Kerecki plays a tribute to the electronic French Touch music (Daft Punk, Air, ...) with his quartet. The new album "FRENCH TOUCH" will be released in September 18 (Incises), it follows "Nouvelle Vague" (2014,) the previous award-winning album of the band now featuring saxophonist Emile Parisien (winner of Victoires du jazz and ECHO Jazz 2017), drummer Fabrice Moreau and pianist Jozef Dumoulin.
Stéphane Kerecki is also part of "Modern Art" by DANIEL HUMAIR - STEPHANE KERECKI - VINCENT LE QUANG.
As bass player Stéphane Kerecki reaches the big 4-0, his quiet determination to hone his art and make music his top priority is paying off handsomely. His bass sound - one of the most beautiful on the scene today - and his musicality have made him a much sought-after accompanist, and he has performed with the likes of Jacky Terrason, Yaron Herman, Bojan Z, Jacques Schwartz-Bart and Daniel Humair. But it’s as a leader and a composer that he’s really made his mark in recent years, bringing serenity, integrity and gentleness to the modern jazz scene.
Stéphane Kerecki’s recent albums have cemented his reputation as one of the finest musicians on the European jazz scene.
