Info for Telemann: Violin Sonatas

Boris Begelman
was born in Moscow in 1983 and began his studies on the violin at the early age of seven.
After music school and college he studied at the Moscow State Tchaikovsky Conservatory with Mikhail Gotsdiner (violin) and Dmitry Sinkovsky (baroque violin), and later postgraduate studies with Alexei Lubimov from 2007 to 2010.
Following his growing interest in Early Music, Boris obtained his diploma in baroque violin (magna cum laude) at the Conservatorio Bellini di Palermo with Enrico Onofri (violin) and Riccardo Minasi (chamber music) in January 2013.
Boris has appeared as concertmaster as well as soloist with some of the finest baroque orchestras today including “Il Complesso Barocco” (Italy), “Accademia Bizantina” (Italy), “Cappella Gabetta” (Switzerland), “Il Pomo d'oro” (Italy), “Cappella Mediterranea” (France), “Divino Sospiro” (Portugal) and the “Jerusalem Baroque Orchestra” (Israel). He has performed as soloist with orchestras under the baton of Giovanni Antonini, Ottavio Dantone, Enrico Onofri and other world-renowned conductors.
During the 2014-2015 season amongst other engagements, Boris will direct from the violin and play solos with "Accademia Bizantina", direct Max Cencic at Opera di Lausanne with "Il Pomo d'Oro orchestra", tour China as a part of the Eggner Trio and conduct Simone Kermes and Vivica Genaux with “Cappella Gabetta Orchestra” at the Forum Am Schlosspark, Ludwigsburg.
