Ali Neander, hierzulande schon seit vielen Jahren als vielseitiger und umtriebiger Gitarrenvirtuose unterwegs (Rodgau Monotones, Moses Pelham, Edo Zanki, Sabrina Setlur, Rilke Projekt u.v.m.) hat sich auf seinem neuesten Solo-Album "Boomer Bends" mit zwei Schlagzeug Giganten zusammengetan, nämlich Anika Nilles (Jeff Beck) und Moritz Müller (Gianna Nannini) um einen neuen, frischen Anlauf für sowas wie "Contemporary Jazz Rock" und "Progressive Fusion" zu wagen.

Mit dabei sind Kai Eckhardt (ex John McLaughlin), Raoul Walton (Roachford, Westernhagen u.v.m.), Jonathan Ihlenfeld Cunado (Trilok Gurtu) und Phlipp Rehm am Bass, Neil Nail Alexander (Mahavishnu Project) und Ulf Kleiner (DePhazz), Martin Kasper (Kraan) und Hilde Müller (Nevell) an den Keys und noch viele Gäste mehr. Anknüpfend an die beiden Alben mit Hellmut Hattler ist "Boomer Bends eine teilweise rasante, dann auch wieder meditative Reise in die Welt krummer Takte, verblüffender Harmonien und emotionaler Gitarrensounds und beweist, dass diese Musik keine seelenlose Vorführung von Spieltechnik sein muss, sondern im Gegenteil, ein großer Spaß sein kann.
