Info for Sing Into My Mouth

„Sing Into My Mouth“ ist ein gemeinsames Album von Sam Beam alias Iron and Wine und Ben Bridwell (Band of Horses), eine liebevolle Hommage an zwölf Songs und KünstlerInnen, die großen Einfluss auf die beiden Musiker hatten.

Unter den auf dem Album enthalten Interpretationen befinden sich Klassiker wie „This Must Be The Place (Naive Melody)“ von den Talking Heads, Sades „Bulletproof Soul“ und El Perro del Mars „God Knows (You Gotta Give to Get)“ aber auch weniger bekannte Stücke wie Them Two's „Am I a Good Man“ (ein regelmäßiger Bestandteil des Live-Sets von Band of Horses) oder „There's No Way Out of Here“, einem ursprünglich von der britischen Band Unicorn geschrieben Song, der später durch David Gilmours Solodebüt bekannter wurde.

Recorded at Echo Mountain Studios in Aseville, North Carolina

Iron and Wine
Over the course of his ten-year career, Iron & Wine’s Sam Beam has become one of today’s greatest story tellers, crafting meticulous tales full of love, religious imagery and wistful dreams. It’s been more than three years since his last studio effort, The Shepherd’s Dog, which was widely praised by fans and critics alike. Beam continued to mine folk, African, rock, country, and Jamaican musical traditions, but switched the focus of his studio lens to 60s and 70s pop influences for the Kiss Each Other Clean sessions.

Ben Bridwell
A musician from Irmo, South Carolina. He plays and sings in the indie rock group Band of Horses. Their debut album on Sub Pop records, Everything All the Time, was released in 2006. Their follow up album Cease to Begin was released in 2007. Before Band of Horses Ben was also a member of Seattle’s band, Carissa’s Wierd. Band of Horses is currently on tour. He lives in Charleston, South Carolina with his wife and 2 daughters Annabelle and Ivy.

This album contains no booklet.
