Info for Revelation (Remastered)

Tullie Brae is a celebrated performer who is known for setting stages on fire. With this new album Tullie teamed with producer Jeff Jensen to take listeners on an adventure through the blues. From hard rocking and dark imaginary journeys to soft and emotional ballads, this album demonstrates Tullie’s skill in songwriting and her amazing vocal range and quality. Above all, in REVELATON Tullie is using her deep love and mastery of the blues to reveal and celebrate a strong and independent woman. Tullie developed her musical chops in churches in Louisiana, and she used that experience to bring her fans some very exciting new music. On this album, which consists of 10 songs written by Tullie, her voice shines as she uses all the dynamics of that special instrument – and she plays piano, Hammond B3 and slide guitar on various tracks, demonstrating her versatility and as a musician.

"Tullie Brae is, in our vernacular, a triple threat - Singer, Songwriter and Instrumentalist. She's a dynamic force." (Jim Hynes, Making A Scene Music Magazine)

“The multi-talented Ms. Brae embodies the best of the generation of young blues artists. You’ll hear tinges of Ruthie Foster, Howlin’ Wolf and Janis Joplin – all deftly melded with cutting edge, risk taking, powerful sounds – uniquely her own.” (Tom Wilmer, NPR)

Tullie Brae

Tullie Brae
The soulful Blues singer and multi-instrumentalist credits her musical gift to Gospel music like so many great soul singers before her. Tullie's musical journey began singing in church where her Daddy was a preacher and her Mom was a vocalist and musician . Tullie grew up near the Louisiana cotton fields and wetlands of the Blues, cutting her teeth in a type of church where you could hear soul-shaking music seeping through the walls before you entered the doors. Early on she began writing original material while also learning to play various instruments, she also assumed the role of choir director which led to recording and touring professionally, singing harmony and lead with Gospel groups.

While touring and performing, Tullie was introduced to the many sounds of different genres of music. Her Gospel roots naturally segued into the Blues where you can still hear and feel the hints of Soul along with her grittiness of Rock. Tullie is most comfortable on stage performing in her own unique style, sharing her heart & soul to each audience through her love of music.

Tullie is signed to Endless Blues Records where you can find her latest self-penned album. Tullie is also endorsed by Hammond, touring with her favorite instrument which is the lightweight and slim SK1 Hammond. Her shows and original material ranges from Delta Blues to Rock infused Contemporary Blues music that tells the stories of love, happiness, heartbreak, pain and life experiences. She has powerful vocals, impeccable stage presence and engages with her audience from the time she steps on stage until the last note is played. Her shows are pure energy, and at the same time, raw emotion. Tullie has headlined several Blues festivals as well as shared the stage with B.B. King, Taj Mahal, Paul Thorn, Bonnie Raitt, Tab Benoit, Jimmy Thackery, Coco Montoya, Ruthie Foster, Jimbo Mathus, Carolyn Wonderland, Cedric Burnside, Samantha Fish, Leo Bud Welch, Jimmy "Duck" Holmes, Henry "Gip" Gipson, Big George Brock among many other talented artists.
