Juan Pablo Balcázar
Colombian by birth but Barcelona-born by adoption, is a restless and multifaceted musician who moves with equal ease in the field of jazz and improvised music as he does in the world of Hip Hop, Pop or Latin American music.
He has recorded more than twelve albums under his own name (with different groups led by him) and many others as a sideman on different record labels.
His work as an electric bass player, double bass player and composer has led him to play in countless festivals and stages around the world.
He has shared the stage with musicians such as Lucia Pulido, Guillermo Klein, Guillermo McGill, Miguel Zenón, Javier Ibarra (Kase.
