Info zu Sunne
Annelie is set to release her highly anticipated album Sunne. Derived from the Old English word for "sun," The theme of the record refers a lot to being outside, being on the road, traveling, the changing climate, heat, drought, water, wind. But also a sense of nostalgia, melancholy. Hanging on to the past, to certain memories as a child. Most of the music was written outdoors during holidays, not behind the piano but in her head, in the open air.
‘We recorded in February, early spring. The first birds were singing in the garden. It felt intimate and grand at the same time. The theme of the album refers a lot to being outside and on the road, travelling, the changing climate. The heat, drought, water and wind. But also a sense of nostalgia and melancholy.’ (Annelie)
Her previous piano solo albums, 'After Midnight' (2018) and 'Hertz' (2021), were widely acclaimed and have nearly reached 50 million streams on Spotify alone. However, on her latest EP called 'C', she wants to showcase more diversity and experiment with electronic elements.
Her musical taste is influenced by pop music, often characterized by a melancholic and cinematic atmosphere, similar to artists like Sufjan Stevens, Bon Iver, Radiohead, Robyn, Eefje de Visser, Hania Rani, and others.

As a keyboardist and singer for well-known Dutch artists such as Eefje de Visser and Maaike Ouboter, Annelie has made her mark in the Dutch music scene. Solo, she has opted for instrumental music, using the piano as a starting point.

However, on her latest EP called ‘C’, she wants to showcase more diversity and experiment with electronic elements. With new songs Neptuin and Philippine she once again embarks a new and more layered musical chapter.
