Roberta Mameli
Born in Rome, Roberta Mameli graduated in singing at the Nicolini Conservatory in Piacenza and in violin, followed by master classes with Bernadette Manca di Nissa, Ugo Benelli, Claudio Desderi, Enzo Dara.

She is regularly guest of the most important Opera Theaters and Music Halls, working with conductors as C. Abbado, U. B. Michelangeli, F. Bonizzoni, F. M. Bressan, D. Callegari, C. Cavina, A. Curtis, O. Dantone, P. Goodwin, Chr. Hogwood, C. Rovaris, F. M. Sardelli, J. Savall, Diego Fasolis, J.L. Tingaud and J. Tate.

Much in demand for the Baroque repertoire, Roberta Mameli works with several Ensembles on period instruments, as Accademia Bizantina, Contrasto Armonico, Ensemble Inégal, Il Complesso Barocco, L’Arte dell’Arco, La Risonanza, La Venexiana, Le Concert des Nations, I Barocchisti and Modo Antiquo.

Highlights of her career include: Monteverdi’s Il combattimento di Tancredi e Clorinda and Il ballo delle Ingrate in Cremona and Regensburg; Stradella’s San Giovanni Battista (Herodiade) at festivals of Utrecht, Viterbo and La Chaise-Dieu; Monteverdi’s L’incoronazione di Poppea (Nerone) under the baton of C. Cavina in Hannover, Regensburg, Paris, Milan and Periguex; Fux’s Orfeo ed Euridice (Proserpina) with Le Concert des Nations conducted by J. Savall at the Styriarte Festival; Monteverdi’s L’Orfeo at the Santander Festival; Pergolesi’s L’Olimpiade (Aristea) at the Opera Rara with Accademia Bizantina and O. Dantone in Cracow.

In the present season Roberta is giving her solo recitals and Operas at the Festspiele Mecklenburg-Vorpommern and at the MITO Festival in Milan, Mozart's Le nozze di Figaro (Susanna) at the Opernhaus of Kiel, Adonis in Torrejon's La Púrpura de la Rosa at the Musikfestspiele Potsdam Sanssouci, Jommelli's Isacco at Opera Rara in Kraków, Monteverdi's Vespro della Beata Vergine in Tokyo and Recitals in Osaka, Tokyo and Hiroshima; Vivaldi's Motezuma at the Festival di Cervantino-Mexico; Purcell's Dido and Aeneas at Teatro Regio of Turin; Salieri's La Scuola de' gelosi in Leverkusen and recordings.

Luca Pianca
Born in Lugano, Switzerland, Luca Pianca studied with Nikolaus Harnoncourt at the Mozarteum Salzburg and has been working together with Nikolaus Harnoncourt’s Concentus Musicus Wien since 1982.

He is co-founder of Il Gardino Armonico and works as lutenist at the Zurich Opera House. He performed as partner of soloists such as Cecilia Bartoli, Eva Mei, and Silvia McNair. With Teldec – his exclusive label – he recorded more than 20 CDs, e.g. the complete recordings of lute repertoire by J.S. Bach and Antonio Vivaldi.

Luca Pianca gives about 80 to 100 concerts per year, there are solo recitals from the Musikverein Vienna to the Carnegie Hall New York. In 2001, he worked together with rockstar STING.
