The Swedish composer Lisa Streich, born in 1985, received the composer’s prize of the Ernst von Siemens Musikstiftung in 2017. This new recording combines five works of different genres, recorded by outstanding musicians such as the Deutsches Symphonie-Orchester Berlin, Ensemble Mosaik and Enno Poppe. The German author Hartmut Lange contributed an extensive essay to the booklet. Lisa Streich studied composition and organ in Berlin, Stockholm, Salzburg, Paris, and Cologne. Her works are being performed and broadcast all over the world, performed by the most prestigious ensembles. In 2018 she took a composer residency with the ensemble recherché in Freiburg. She currently lives on the Swedish island of Gotland in the Baltic Sea.

Lisa Streich
born in Norra Råda, Sweden in 1985, studied Composition and Organ in Berlin, Stockholm, Salzburg, Paris and Cologne with among others Johannes Schöllhorn, Adriana Hölszky, Mauro Lanza and Margareta Hürholz.
Master classes with a.o. Chaya Czernowin, Steven Takasugi, Beat Furrer and Daniel Roth complete her musical education.
Her works have been performed in among other countries in Sweden, Germany, Israel, France, Austria, Great Britain, Japan, Canada and the US. Her music has been played by among others Deutsche Symphonieorchester Berlin, Quatuor Diotima, Ensemble Recherche, Nouvel Ensemble Moderne, OENM, Eric Ericson chamber choir and Sweden´s radio choir at among others MATA New York, Ultraschall Berlin, Tzlil Meudcan Tel Aviv, Ircam Paris, Wien Modern and Cologne Cathedral.
Prizes and scholarships include Cité des Arts Paris, orchestra prize by the Anne-Sophie Mutter Fund, Busoni Förderpreis of the Academy of Arts Berlin, Bernd Alois Zimmermann Prize, the Rome Prize Villa Massimo, Roche Young Commission by the Lucerne Festival and the Ernst von Siemens composers prize.
A Portrait CD will come out in April 2018 at the label WERGO/Edition zeitgenössische Musik.
Currently she has a composer residency with the ensemble recherche in Freiburg.
She lives on Gotland, Sweden.
