Olivier Calmel
Composer, orchestrator and pianist, Olivier Calmel obtains his writing awards (harmony, counterpoint and fugue) and orchestration in Paris. Commissions for soloists, ensembles and orchestras are at the origin of most of his works (Orchestre Symphonique de Bretagne, Garde Républicaine, Maîtrise de Radio France, Violons de France, ArteCombo, solistes de l'Orchestre de Suisse Romande, Chœur régional d'Île-de-France, Paris Brassband, Gardiens de la Paix, Links, Paris Scoring, SpiriTango, etc.). His works are notably interpreted in Théâtre du Châtelet, Salle Pleyel, Philharmonie de Paris, Auditorium de Radio France, Grand Rex, Studio 104, Cité de la Musique,Théâtre de la Ville, Grand T de Nantes, Opéra de Rennes, Théâtre du Beauvaisis, Maladrerie Saint-Lazare, Kursaal de Dunkerque, MégaCité d'Amiens, Louvre, .. as well as New York (Symphony Space), Ohio, Kentucky, Pittsburg (Heinz Hall), Londres, Genève, Lausanne, Annemasse and in Asia.
