Biographie Sandro Gibellini, Giulio Corini, Emanuele Maniscalco

Sandro Gibellini
began with rock-blues and jazz chords equally on his guitar, but from the Eighties on he has been dedicating his musical activity  to jazz  solely, developing a unique sensibility and an unmistakable, signature " touch”. His simplicity comes from the rich experience he accumulated through his collaborations onstage with the likes of Lee Konitz, Mel Lewis, Al Grey, Dave Schnitter, Sal Nistico, Steve Grossmann, Lew Tabackin, Jimmy Owens and Gerry Mulligan. Playing and playing his way through jazz music festivals in Italy, Europe, the United States and Cuba  with increasing acclaim,  or as a member of the RAI Orchestra for over a decade, he has developed his own unique style, essential but never barren, strangely melodic and endowed with an inner concentrated energy, as if rhythm were already part of the sound.

Giulio Corini
is now considered one of the most interesting double bass players and improvisers on new Italian jazz scene. He has been collaborating for many years with internationally relevant  jazz musicians: from Enrico Rava to John Abercrombie, Francesco Bearzatti, Stefano Battaglia, Ralph Alessi, Jim Snidero, Tino Tracanna, Bebo Ferra, to Garrison Fewell et al..

Since 2005 he has been a leading figure in the experimental  "Libero Motu” ensemble, with whom he published the albums “Libero Motu” (2007), “Off-site Meetings” (2009) and “Future Revival” (2015)  for El Gallo Rojo Records. His discography includes more than 50 titles.

Emanuele Maniscalco
is a multi-instrumentalist player and a composer who oscillates between the colours of jazz and pop music in their most experimental hues. His musical education years were spent between  Siena, Brescia and Copenhagen but very early on he began collaborating with relevant international jazz icons such as Paolo Fresu, Enrico Rava, Gianluca Petrella, Ares Tavolazzi, Stefano Battaglia, Pietro Tonolo and Giovanni Guidi. For 20 years now, his relentless activity has been going on “in parallax” on the pop and indie scene, focussing on the creation of a unique and multifaceted musical language.
