Trio Goldberg
Awarded a gold medal at the 2019 edition of the "Vienna International Music Competition," the Trio Goldberg is now recognized by the international critics as one of the finest string trios of its generation. With rich and diverse backgrounds, the three musicians (Liza Kerob, Principal Soloist; Federico Hood, 1st Solo Viola; and Thierry Amadi, 1st Solo Cello) came together within the Monte-Carlo Philharmonic Orchestra to form this dynamic and eclectic ensemble.
Exploring a broad repertoire ranging from baroque to contemporary compositions, the Trio Goldberg has recorded several albums that have received warm acclaim from the specialized press (including the German Critics' Award "Preis Der Deutschen Schallplatten Kritik," 5 Diapasons, 5 stars from FonoForum, Supersonic Pizzicato, 5 stars from HRAudio, Opus d'Or...), and they have been nominated for the Opus Klassik award in Germany and the "International Classical Music Awards" multiple times.
The three musicians' commitment to contemporary music has led to collaborations with renowned composers such as Nicolas Bacri, Alain Fourchotte, Françoise Choveaux, and Lucio Amanti, who have written and dedicated pieces to the Trio Goldberg. The ensemble has also participated in a recording of chamber music by Swiss composer Thüring Bräm.
The Trio Goldberg frequently collaborates with renowned musicians on stage and in the studio. Among others, they have recorded the complete flute quartets by W.A. Mozart with Jean Ferrandis and the composer's first piano quartet with David Bismuth. The trio performs numerous concerts in France (Salle Gaveau, Salle Cortot, Musée d'Orsay, Opéra de Tours), and throughout Europe, including La Folle Journée de Nantes and Ekaterinburg, the festival Concerts du Printemps at Abbaye de Val-Dieu, Festival les Jeudis Musicaux de Royan, Festival de Chaillol, Festival de Menton, Festival des Grandes Heures de Cluny, as well as in Vienna, Linz, Bratislava, Budapest, and London.
