Alessandra Zezza
born October 22, 1985, known by the pseudonym Alyssa Zezza, is an Italian singer. Her smooth and sultry vocals, appreciated from Europe to Mexico, is known through her re-interpretation in nu-jazz style of the greatest songs of all time.

Born in Rome, her love for music and arts began early: has made appearances on several television programs for children as “Zecchino D’Oro”, she partecipated in theater workshops, musicals, until in 2005 she reached a scholarship at “C.E.T. Centro Europeo di Toscolano” (music accademy directed by Mogol), where she began to take voice lessons. In the meantime she joined some cover bands as solo singer and became a member of a gospel band called “Synapsis” (she remained a part of until 2010), which allowed her to tour all around Italy.

This is the way Alyssa starts her first steps as lead singer, showing her vocal versatility (ranging from pop-rock to soul and jazz) which attract the interest of professional musicians and composers. Silvio ‘BaBoS’ Marino, who wants her voice for some of his projects, had the idea of getting Alyssa into a “smooth jazz” remake of some biggest hits of 70’s/80’s and then produce her first album.

In 2013 she released “MashUp”, an electronic jazz contemporary album, which tracks included the re-interpretation of hits “Whole Lotta Love” (Led Zeppelin), “Do It Again” (Steely Dan), “Lovely Day” (Bill Withers), “Maniac” (Michael Sembello), “September” (EWF), “Maxine” (Donald Fagen) and the well- known acappella version of Cyndi Lauper song “True Colors”.

“MashUp” will bring Alyssa to perfom soon in the most important clubs in Italy, opening act for many national events and some popular artists.

After summer tour she keeps on improving her musical abilities, to recording “Frames”: a collection of covers in acoustic style with an intimate atmosphere between lounge and nu-jazz, which kept unchanged the concept of the first album. In 2014, she signed a contract with the label GBMUSIC SMOOTHNOTES which produced all “Frames” tracks under new release name “TOP 15 GREATEST SONGS Intimate Acoustic Versions”, which had a significant impact on digital streaming and entered the “100 Top Smooth Jazz Albums” on iTunes chart, in Italy.

The release was followed by an intensive touring activity with her electric band “ReNew” and her acoustic trio, in the most important clubs in Italy; she performed for some events in Switzerland and French Polynesia, under the duo’s name “Aly & BaBoS” (with Silvio Marino).

Alyssa covers have now been selected for the most popular Nu-Jazz/Lounge music worldwide compilations also broadcasted by International Smooth Jazz radio stations (from Spain to Canada). Her version of “Your Love Is King” (Sade) entered the “10 Top Jazz Songs” on iTunes chart, in Malaysia. After recently performed in Bora Bora, while something new is coming, she is working in studio for her first album of original songs.
