Info for Turning Points

Oslo-based producer, Kappekoff is preparing to release his new album, Turning Points. The latest single from the album is “Trust the Fate.” With a funky laid-back beat, the instrumental is reminiscent of artists like Royksopp or Hot Chip. Vocalist, Busch adds darkly humorous lyrics about various bad situations where he tries to see the silver lining such as his house burning down because he left the coffee maker on but now at least he doesn’t have to pay rent.

Kappekoff is the creation of bassist and producer Magnus Falkenberg from Oslo. His music bears resemblance to the electronic Oslo disco popularised by artists such as Lindstrøm, Todd Terje and Ralph Myerz, as he mixes pop, jazz, improvisation, and electronic music. Within a week of the release of their 2016 single «All Day Long», the song entered Spotify's Global Viral 50 chart at #2, a chart that shows "..the most shared, trending tracks across the entire World». The song was nominated for hit song of the year by Norwegian Music magazine GAFFA. On the upcoming album Turning Points, a mix of jazz musicians and pop artists contribute, including Ola Kvernberg, Linni and Myra. Jimmy Smash also collaborates with Falkenberg on the lead single «Why You», which is already play-listed on Norwegian national radio NRK P3. The song will also be released in a remixed version by Funkin Matt..
