Rachel Goodrich

Rachel Goodrich
Some people are really good at listening to someone that they’ve just met. That line came off way to harsh and a bit wrong, but work with me here… Sometimes you just meet a person briefly and you know it’s going to be a brief meeting. Maybe it’s even a brief re-meeting. Like bumping into an old acquaintance from high school with whom you’ve never had much in common other than going to the same high school. Some people are skilled in the ways at which they handle those situations. I myself am not. I can however recognize someone who is. I always feel awkard about our interaction, like I haven’t upheald my end of the bargrain. When you meet her, Rachel Goodrich hits you with a voice that you don’t see coming. I don’t know why you don’t, but you just don’t anticipate that smooth cool tone sliding out of her mouth until it does. So you’re already a little off guard when you first talk to her, and then you’ve just got to keep up. You can’t walk into a room with that much confidence and not know where your trying to get to and have some places you’ve got to be to get there. You get the same off guard trip when you listen to her music. At first you’re just nodding and smiling trying to keep up and not look stupid. Then you remember it’s just dancing, and you can’t look stupid when you dance…
