Info for Then and Now

THEN and NOW, is a remarkable journey through time, blending the raw energy of their garage rock roots with a modern twist. From their groundbreaking sound in the 60s, the band has captured the essence of their legacy while introducing fresh elements that resonate today.

The album features 15 tracks, including standout originals like "Hold You Closer" and "Junkies to the News," as well as a powerful rendition of the classic "Great Balls of Fire." With Grammy-winning guitarist Paul Nelson contributing his expertise, and with top-notch production quality, the timeless appeal of the music is enhanced.

Interviewers have praised the album for its heartfelt lyrics and dynamic arrangements. Tracks like "MaryDaze" and "So Far Away" showcase the band's ability to evoke deep emotions, while songs like "Bang Bang Baby" and "Media Star" bring an infectious energy that harks back to their early days but with a modern take.

THEN and NOW is more than just an album; it's a testament to The Fifth Estate's ability to rock and roll. Whether you're a longtime fan or new to their music, this album offers something special for everyone. It's no wonder interviewers are all calling it "One of the best and most timeless rock and roll albums out these days."

The Fifth Estate

The Fifth Estate
A rock band out of a factory section of Stamford, CT by way of NYC, especially Greenwich Village. There they often played 5 or 6 hours a night, 6 nights a week, for months at a time. They rocked harder and heavier than most bands of the 60s. This did them no great service as to the necessary AM Radio pop required of the day. So do to a bet at a NYC party they jokingly did Ding Dong The Witch is Dead. It was a huge hit around the world. This and 3 other hits moved them on into huge concerts around the country.

Live they were ahead of things in the 60s and as Tomorrow Is My Turn could show you they already played what would become the thing in the 70s and again in the 90s and then and now again with bands like Oasis in the 2020s. It would be wrong to say they are like Oasis. Although they are just a factory area bunch of band lads like Oasis. But it would be more correct to say that Oasis was and is more like The Fifth Estate. BECAUSE The Fifth Estate was FIRST with great songs and that wall of sound, which is loved from the 70s to this day.

They stayed all these years doing what they do. Sometimes underground. Sometimes above ground. And now will release a timeless album called THEN and NOW of all new tunes. With the great guitar player and Grammy Winning producer Paul Nelson on it, you can hear all that again.

The best of then and now on their new album to be released in 2025 - THEN and NOW.

This album contains no booklet.
