Imogen Ryall's prowess as a lyricist is awe inspiring, and she really outdoes herself on Emil Viklický's wide-ranging melodies and themes. From the intimacy of the folk tinged “Gone with Water” to the mischievous groove of “Conjourology,” each song demonstrates a wonderful interplay between singer and musicians which is never forced and feels totally organic. Julian Nicholas is at his lyrical best on “Moon” and “Sleeping in a Cradle,” effortlessly soaring and soulful with his flair for being unwaveringly tasteful. Viklický’s elegant and graceful melodies are perfect for Ryall's lyrics and seem to be 'ready-made songs,' not just lyrics sitting awkwardly on top of a melody.
