Following the critically acclaimed 2021 album Echoes Of Life, pianist Alice Sara Ott has recorded a selection of works by Beethoven for her latest album. The centerpiece of Beethoven is the Piano Concerto No. 1, Op. 15, on which she is accompanied by the Netherlands Radio Philharmonic Orchestra and its principal conductor Karina Canellakis. Ott and Canellakis were asked by Apple Music to record this concerto, which led to her and the orchestra becoming the stars of the Apple Music Classical app's introductory video earlier this year. The pianist then selected a number of solo works to complement the concerto, including "Für Elise" and the "Moonlight Sonata."
