Info for Parasomnia

In a modern European jazz style, PrismE draws its influences in various musical styles (pop, classical music,...), The Trio will make you travel in its contemplative, aerial and poetic universe. Uncluttered melodies and textures that catch the ear, binary rhythms, metric complexity and work on the sound characterize the music of this trio.

For this opus, Leïla Kramis, Stéphane Fisch and Sylvain Fournier, alias PrismE, explore their dreams and put them to music. The result is ‘Parasomnia’, out this week on the Urgence Disk label. The compositions are shared between each musician and arranged in perfect democracy. Inspiration is cultivated alone or together, and the trio meets regularly to keep the flame burning, from the groovy lʹostinato to the half-tones that bring us closer to dreams, as announced. Finally, it's time to get together in the studio to capture a snapshot of this rich theme, a record that will be unveiled this Friday 15 November 2024.

Stéphane Fisch, double bass
Sylvain Fournier, drums

PrismE
Nourished by musical experiences as diverse as they are varied, ranging from classical music to underground progressive rock through pop or street performance, the three musicians have in common a passion for jazz that they have practiced for many years in various formations, hence the desire to meet around a common project. Together, they develop their own style: pure melodies that catch the ear, binary rhythms that are sometimes complex, work on sound intensity, play on contrasts: between restraint and explosive energy. An accessible music without fear of simplicity but subtle and fine enough to catch an informed ear.
