Info for Wetterträume
"Wetterträume" seems to be a weird title at first sight chosen for the current album of Andres Böhmer & NyponSyskon. But if one is into traditional German folk tunes, like Andres Böhmer, which at the same time represent the musical roots of his origins, it becomes clear that most of them deal with the seasons and with falling asleep, so the title makes absolute sense. But there is no risk at all falling asleep, not even with the calm songs of this album. Even though bandleader Andres Böhmer has to admit that the idea of Jazz arrangements of such pieces is not a new one, every song has its very own and specific characteristics in this actually Classical Jazz guitar trio. This way the band created a comprehensible and firm sound pattern, which puts these possibly often-quoted folk tunes into another light.
Andres Böhmer, guitar
