Info for Ne m'oubliez pas
Ne m'oubliez pas! This new release features music for piano and for piano and violin by the Curaçao composers Jan Gerard Palm (1831-1906), Jules Blasini (1847-1887), Joseph Sickman Corsen (1853-1911) and Miguel Senior (1877-1975). Pianist Ketevan Sharumashvili and violinist Jeroen Dupont are both young and exceptionally talented musicians who have won several first prizes at international music competitions. The title of the album is a piece composed by Jules François Blasini. Born to Maria Elizabeth Leon of Curaçao and the Corsican Jean Blasini. His father was then serving as the French consul to Curaçao. Blasini’s adagio, Ne m’oubliez pas! (Do not forget me!), has a classical, touching and tender beauty.

Ketevan Sharumashvili
is an outstanding Georgian pianist with a strong personal style. In 2010, she graduated from the Tbilisi State Conservatory, where she received her first Master of Music, supported by a scholarship of President Saakashvili. In 2011, KAAD also awarded her a grant to continue her Konzertexamen studies in Hamburg at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater, where she gloriously obtained the Concert Pianist Diploma. After moving to The Netherlands she completed her second Master in 2015 with Naum Grubert and Jan Wijn.
During Masterclasses in Weimar it was Konstantin Scherbakov who choose Ketevan as the best participant to play solo with orchestra in the Weimarhalle during the final concert. Ketevan also follows Masterclasses with other master pianists including Paul Badura-Skoda, Tamás Vásáry and Boris Berman who are all impressed by her sensitive playing and virtuosity.
Ketevan is born and raised in the Georgian capital Tbilisi. She is not growing up with classical music, but when she discovers the neighbors' piano it soon becomes clear that she has been given a special musical talent. She learns to play with great passion, joy and unrestrainedness.
Without the intention of becoming a professional musician, she is taken to the Paliashvili Music Gymnasium for highly talented children at the age of twelve. Barely two years later, she won her first piano competition in Paris.
Nowadays she is prize winner of several international competitions in France, Italy, Greece and Holland. She won the 'Soroptimist Prize' at the Viotti Competition in Vercelli - Italy, received the third prize at the Lagny-Sur Marne Competition in France and won the first prize and the 'Special Price of the Jury' in the Pianale competition in Germany.
In 2017, Ketevan chooses the Netherlands as her home base where she leads a dynamic concert life as a solist and chamber musician.
