Info for Prayer
Klezmer as an element uniting styles, people and cultures is the trademark of this recording. My two duo formations could hardly be more different: on the one hand Birke Falkenroth as a great classical harpist, who only became increasingly enthusiastic about klezmer through our collaboration and who, with her rare instrument, represents a speciality in klezmer music. On the other hand, there is Sebastian Voltz on the grand piano, bursting with the joy of playing and improvising in "Swinging Klezmer". For me, it is always different with both duo partners - and always a great pleasure to create music together and in dialogue. We wanted to convey this delightful contrast with this album.
"Prayer" captivates with its beauty, grace and lust for life.
