Info for Spanish Mosaic

In this first album for Prima Classic, Maestro Pérez-Quer selected works by Spanish composers of the 19th and 20th centuries, rarely recorded before: Julián Arcas, Federico Moreno-Torroba, Emili Pujol, Severino García Forte, and Ángel Barrio.

In the same way as the tesserae of a mosaic, the works that make up Spanish Mosaic form a beautiful paving that captures the essence of the enormous sound richness of Spanish music for guitar. A music that sinks its roots in centuries of history and very diverse cultures, that is loaded with songs, dance, and popular motifs and that through the creativity of inspired composers, gives voice to the guitar: a genuinely Spanish instrument.

Beautiful works, with inspired melodies, all of them very contrasting and captivating.

Considered by specialized critics as a virtuoso guitarist, with impeccable technique and extreme sensibility, capable of captivating the most varied audiences in his concerts, Guillem Pérez-Quer is an internationally renowned concert guitarist, with a long history, who has performed around the world. He studied with great teachers: Juan Fco. Garrido, Óscar Cáceres, Leo Brouwer, Betho Davezac, Eli Kassner, and the great guitarist Maria Luisa Anido.
