Info for Late Night At the Bar
On the outskirts of the city, Edgar contemplates the human effervescence. Curious, he wonders what animates all these beings. The sweet melody of comforting habits, the syncopation of a brief break in routine, the frantic rhythm of city tumult?
A graduate of the Institut Musical de Formation Professionnelle (IMFP) and the Conservatoire d'Aix-en-Provence, Thomas Laffont draws his inspiration from the great names of modern jazz.
In search of a personal musical universe, he experiments and composes music at the crossroads of aesthetics. The electric bass is at the heart of his creative process. Although the word "jazz" is what best describes his music, pop and rock have left their mark.
Born from this research, his projects merge and revel in the boundaries of genres. He creates a framework to let improvisation finish the picture. An electrifying jazz!
