Alexandra Netzold has been delighting audiences on national and international concert stages for over two decades and is regarded as a particularly committed ambassador for music. The magazine ‘Paris Actualités Musique’ honours her with ‘a fantastic performance with musical fire’ and is highly impressed by ‘her profound artistic expression’.
Alexandra Netzold studied with Maria Kliegel in Cologne and with David Geringas at the Mozarteum in Salzburg and is an international prizewinner. Since then, she has given concerts all over the world to great acclaim from audiences and the press. She is a regular guest at important music festivals and concert series; she has made numerous award-winning CD recordings and radio and television productions. Her very personal style has been characterised by her artistic collaboration with important musicians such as Mstislav Rostropovich, the Amadeus Quartet and others.
Together with the classical and jazz pianist Oliver Taupp, she has formed a very successful duo since 2022, performing in renowned concert series. Alexandra Netzold
has been delighting audiences on national and international concert stages for over two decades and is considered a particularly committed ambassador of classical music. Alexandra Netzold studied with Maria Kliegel at the Cologne University of Music and completed her studies with the American cellist Michael Flaksman with a concert diploma. Her other teachers included Siegfried Palm, Karine Georgian, David Geringas, Daniil Shafran and Radu Aldulescu, in whose international master classes she received further artistic inspiration. Alexandra Netzold is a prizewinner in numerous national and international music competitions. Since then, she has been developing an international concert activity that has received a great response from audiences and the press. She is a regular guest at international music festivals and concert series; She has made numerous award-winning CD recordings and radio and television productions. She is also in great demand as a juror at national and international music competitions and has been giving regular master classes since 2000. Her very personal style has been shaped by her artistic collaboration with important musicians such as Mstislav Rostropovich, the Amadeus Quartet and others. Alexandra Netzold plays a cello by Hannibal Fagnola, Torino 1910.
Oliver Taupp
received his artistic training in classical piano with Konrad Lutz and jazz piano with Joachim Trunte. His active collaboration with instrumental soloists and jazz musicians led to an extensive concert activity that took him throughout Germany and abroad. Oliver Taupp is a regular guest at classical concert series, jazz festivals, CD and television productions. His concert appearances have taken him to the Amarinois Jazz Festival in France, the Burghausen Jazz Festival, the Ettlingen Castle Festival, Dubai and the Heidelberger Frühling International Music Festival.
He forms a permanent duo with concert cellist Alexandra Netzold, whose debut album will be released worldwide in 2025 and which already includes numerous arrangements and an original composition by Oliver Taupp. He also performs extremely successfully with Alexandra Netzold in well-known concert series.
The jazz quartet "Bartok Kombinat" was founded by Oliver Taupp in 2015 and recorded the album "musique en forme de poire" in 2022.
Oliver Taupp also works as a pianist and musical director in musical and drama productions, such as at the Städtebundtheater Hof / Bayreuth, at the Landesbühne Esslingen, at the Städtische Bühne Würzburg, at the Badische Landesbühne Bruchsal at the Capitol Mannheim and at the Theaterwerkstatt Heidelberg.
Oliver Taupp has developed another artistic aspect in recent years: composing and arranging. Many of his arrangements and compositions have already been premiered at international music festivals, in renowned concert series and theater productions.
A number of his works have also been recorded and published in international CD productions.
Oliver Taupp is also a sought-after piano accompanist whose stylistic range has developed through collaboration with musicians from a wide variety of genres. He has worked with well-known artists such as Konstantin Wecker and members of the Berlin Philharmonic.
