Info for Apparitions: Junhee Kim Plays Liszt
Junhee Kim announces his upcoming international debut album "Apparitions", which he recorded together with our partner label CAvi. The album contains various works from all phases of Liszt's life and is inspired by the intention to explore the nuances of Liszt's personality. Initially, Kim only dedicated himself to Liszt's virtuoso piano pieces, but during the pandemic he had time to explore the composer's lesser-known works as well.
Listen now to one of Liszt's late works, Valse-Impromptu, p. 213, as the first advance track. The piece, originally entitled Petite Valse Favorite, is one of the many waltz adaptations composed by Liszt for his salon performances. It is characterised by Liszt's typical virtuosity and his remarkable harmonic twists and turns.
