Marco Misciagna
born in 1984, obtained his diploma in violin and viola at the State Conservatory "N. Piccinni" in Bari at the age of 15. He subsequently obtained a diploma with distinction at the Conservatorio di Musica Santa Cecilia in Rome.
His further path is also paved with successes. Among many other awards, he received the "Monte dei Paschi di Siena" prize twice - as best violinist and best viola virtuoso at the same time. He was also the only Italian to successfully participate in the renowned International Paganini Violin Competition in Moscow.
As a solo violinist, he has impressed audiences and critics in performances with various Italian and international orchestras. He also plays in many renowned chamber music ensembles. His repertoire ranges from classical to modern. He plays in the most important concert halls in Europe and the USA. He has recorded several CDs and published his own viola arrangements.
After various professorships and master classes at international conservatories and music academies, Marco Misciagna currently teaches viola at the State Conservatory in Potenza / Italy, at the State Conservatory in Tambov / Russia and at the Art Academy in Vladivostok / Russia.
